Kimi Claw

A cloud agent you start in the browser, for jobs that must keep running.

TaskAgentAgentAgent
Agent Swarm assigns pieces of a job to several agents instead of one long sequence.

What Kimi Claw is

Kimi Claw is Moonshot's cloud agent. The agent overview dates a public beta to mid-February 2026 and describes it as a way to run an always-online agent in the browser, without a server, a terminal, or Docker on your machine. The same page mentions long-term memory, a configurable persona, and a skills library (it cites ClawHub, with a count above 5,000 skills).

People search Kimi Claw when they want that hosted agent, often after reading about OpenClaw-style tools. Claw is Moonshot's hosted path. It is not the same download as Kimi Work. Work sits on the desktop and stops when the computer sleeps. Claw is the one the help text associates with background work that does not depend on your laptop staying open.

Which plan includes it

On the K2.6 pricing table published by Kimi, Kimi Claw (including web, Android, and PC) is marked from Allegretto upward. Moderato and the free Adagio row are marked without it. Allegretto is $39 a month, or $31 a month if you pay the year up front, on the pricing-details page checked 25 September 2026. Group chat with Claw is listed as 10 chats on Allegretto, Allegro, and Vivace on that K2.6 table.

Claw still spends the shared membership credit pool. The overview lists Kimi Claw among the features that draw tokens from the same balance as slides and Kimi Code. A higher tier raises the pool (150 credits on Allegretto, 360 on Allegro, 720 on Vivace, on the overview). It does not make usage free. See pricing if you are comparing seats.

How it relates to swarm and Work

Agent Swarm is the parallel method: many subagents on one task. Claw is the place the agent lives. The overview discusses both in the agent timeline, and the swarm help page tells you to open swarm on the web or from the model switch in the app. You can care about swarm inside Work, inside chat, or inside Claw. The swarm page is the one that explains the 300-subagent figure.

Give Claw a job only if you are willing for it to continue while you are away. Memory and skills make later runs depend on earlier ones. If the task needs a folder on your disk or a browser profile that never leaves the machine, use Work and the extension instead. If the task is a single coding call from your own backend, use the API, not Claw.
