Kimi login
Sign in on kimi.com or in the official app. This site has no login form.
Where Kimi login actually is
Kimi login is the sign-in step on Moonshot AI's own site and apps. Open https://www.kimi.com/ and use the account control on that page, or open the Kimi app from the store listing that Moonshot publishes and sign in there. Kimi Desk does not show a password field, does not ask for a verification code, and cannot reset a Kimi account.
A page that copies the Kimi name and asks you to type a password into a form you did not open from kimi.com is not this product. Check the address bar before you enter anything. The host should be kimi.com or another domain Moonshot prints on its own help pages, such as the API host platform.moonshot.ai for developers.
Web, phone, and Kimi Work
The website and the Kimi app share the chat account. Kimi Work is the desktop agent. Its installer comes from Kimi's site, and the browser extension signs in with the same Kimi account when you open the sidebar. If Work is installed and the extension says it is signed out, the fix is inside that sidebar, not a second password invented by a guide.
API keys are not the same secret as your chat login. A key created on the API platform lets a program call the model. Treat it like a password: do not paste it into a chat, a screenshot, or a public repository. Rotating a key is done in Moonshot's platform console.
A login page that is not Kimi
Check three things before you type a code. The address starts with https://www.kimi.com/ or you opened Moonshot's app from the store page linked on that site. The lock icon is the browser's, not a picture of a lock inside the page. The form does not also ask for a credit card, a seed phrase, or your email password for a different company. Kimi login is an account step. It is not a checkout.
Search ads sometimes sit above the real result. Read the domain on the ad, not the headline that says Kimi. If you already typed a password into the wrong site, change that password from the real kimi.com session on a device you trust, and do not reuse it. This guide cannot see or reset that account. The app page covers the install side of the same problem: unofficial packages that borrow the name.
When the button does nothing
Try a normal browser window first, with extensions that block scripts turned off for kimi.com only. A private window tells you whether an old cookie is the problem. If the page loads and the account control is missing, you are probably not on the official host.
Phone sign-in fails most often on clock skew, a full mailbox for the code, or a region prompt Kimi shows itself. This guide cannot see that prompt. Kimi's own help and the in-product message are the place to finish a failed login. For plan questions after you are in, use pricing.
Questions
- What is the official Kimi login URL?
- Start at https://www.kimi.com/. The sign-in control is on that site and in the official app. Do not use a login form on an unrelated domain.
- I forgot the account. Can you reset it?
- No. Only Moonshot can reset a Kimi account. Use the recovery step on kimi.com. Email to this site is for corrections to these guides, not for account access.
- Does Kimi Work have a separate login?
- Kimi Work and the browser extension use a Kimi account. Install Work from Kimi's site, then sign in from the product. The extension help page says the sidebar uses that sign-in.
- Is an API key a login?
- No. An API key authenticates a program on platform.moonshot.ai. It is not a substitute for opening the chat app, and it should not be pasted into a prompt.
