Kimi pricing
Four paid tiers, what they share, and which help page to trust when two pages disagree.
The four paid plans
Kimi subscription, Kimi plan, Kimi pricing, and Kimi AI pricing are the same shopping question: what Moonshot charges for a membership. On the pricing-details help page checked 25 September 2026, the four monthly prices are Moderato $19, Allegretto $39, Allegro $99, and Vivace $199. Annual billing on that page is $15, $31, $79, and $159 a month, billed yearly, and the page says the top tier saves $480 a year against paying monthly.
A K2.6 pricing article on Kimi's site also lists a free row named Adagio at $0. The membership help pages spend their tables on the four paid names. If you need the free limits, open the live pricing page rather than a reprinted grid. Kimi K2 pricing, as a search, often means these memberships. Token prices for the API are a second list on the API page.
| Plan | Monthly | Annual, per month | Yearly total | Saved vs monthly |
|---|---|---|---|---|
| Moderato | $19 | $15 | $180 | $48 |
| Allegretto | $39 | $31 | $372 | $96 |
| Allegro | $99 | $79 | $948 | $240 |
| Vivace | $199 | $159 | $1,908 | $480 |
One credit pool
The membership overview says the paid features share one credit pool, metered by token use. It names website deployment, Deep Research, Slides, Kimi Code, Kimi Work, and Kimi Claw. On that overview the agent credit figures are 60, 150, 360, and 720 for Moderato through Vivace. Concurrent agent tasks are 2, 2, 4, and 4. Credits refresh on your billing date, not on the first of the calendar month, and unused credits do not roll over.
Kimi Code is inside the same pool and also has a separate limit: 5 hours a week, applying only to Kimi Code. Using the whole pool on slides leaves less for Work, and the reverse. The update-rules page says a task already running can finish, and a new task stops with an insufficient-credit notice until the refresh or an upgrade.
Where the help pages disagree
Read this before you budget chat. The pricing-details page says that in Chat, K2.6 is free and does not consume credits. The membership update-rules page says K2.6 in the chat entry also consumes membership credits, billed like a K2.6 agent in Kimi Work. Both pages were live when this guide was checked. Kimi Desk will not pick a winner. The control is the usage meter inside your account.
Feature gates are more consistent on the K2.6 pricing table. Agent Swarm is marked on the paid tiers, with 2 concurrent subagents on Moderato, 4 on Allegretto, and 8 on Allegro and Vivace. Kimi Claw, including web, Android, and PC, is marked from Allegretto upward, not on Moderato. Goal Mode is marked from Allegretto upward on the pricing-details comparison. If a button is missing, the tier is the first check, then Kimi Work versus the website.
How to choose
Moderato is the cheapest paid seat on the table, at $19 a month or $15 if you pay yearly. It is the tier to open if you want swarm at the smaller concurrency and you do not need Kimi Claw. Allegretto, at $39 or $31 yearly, is the first row that includes Claw on that K2.6 table. Allegro and Vivace raise the credit pool, project counts, and storage. The overview lists 20 projects and 20 GB on the lower paid tiers, and 100 projects and 50 GB on Allegro and Vivace.
Buy the API only if a program you run will call the model. A person writing slides or Python in the product is on a membership. Prices move. The sources at the bottom are the pages to reopen, and the date on this guide is the date the numbers were copied.
